What is HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography?
Recent Blog Posts
HDR is a new type of photography that creates brilliant, detailed pictures. The pictures are taken carefully and digitally processed using special software.
The human eye can see from 1 being black to 50,000 being the brightest level of light, at the one time. Cameras are only able to capture from 1 to 300 on the same scale. By taking multiple pictures at different brightness levels, you can recreate the missing details in a picture.

An HDR can be created from a single RAW file or from multiple exposures of the same scene. Many digital cameras can take these multiple exposures automatically. Using the software, Photomatix and Photoshop process the pictures, and are available online.
